Abstract
Alya Novia Irvani, NPM 41182911220085, Construction of Spiritual Meaning and Islamic Values: A Study of Listeners of the Song “Takkan Berpaling DariMu”, Islamis Religious Education Study Program, University Muhammadiyah Indonesia-Bekasi. (2026 M / 1448 H).
This study employs a descriptive qualitative approacrh based on the social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. Data were obtained through the analysis of song lyrics, interviews with listeners, and documentation. The research aims to analyze the Islamic values contained in the lyrics of the song “Takkan Berpaling DariMu” sung by Rossa., understand the construction of spiritual meaning formed in the listeners’ minds, and describe the process of this meaning formation based on the social construction theory proposed by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Lukcmann. This study was conducted because there are still listeners who enjoy
religious songs merely as entertainment, without understanding the Islamic values contained in the lyrics. The results indicate that the lyrics of “Takkan Berpaling DariMu” embody Islamic values, specifically those related to aqidah, syariah, and akhlaq. Listeners interpret the song as a reminder to practice gratitude, draw closer to Allah SWT., place their trust in him (Tawakal), and improve the quality of their acts of worship. The spiritual meaning formed is influenced by an individual’s live experiences and religious background, as well as how each listener comprehends and interprets the song through the three stages of social construction: externalization, objectivation, and internalization.
