Nadia Fahirah, “The Effect of Animated Video Learning Media on Students’ Birrul Walidain Character and Politeness at SMPN 5 Cibitung.” Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University of Indonesia (UNISMA Bekasi), 2026 M/1447 H.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of using animated video learning media on students’ birrul walidain character and polite behavior at SMPN 5 Cibitung. This study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The data collection techniques used included questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The research subjects were students in classes VIII.7 and VIII.6, with a total of 66 students selected using total sampling. Data analysis was conducted using a paired-sample t-test
The findings indicate that the use of animated video learning media does not have a significant effect on students’ birrul walidain character and polite behavior. This is evidenced by the significance value of the paired-sample t-test being greater than 0.05. The difference between the two groups, which was 0.82, indicates a positive increase; however, this increase falls into the low category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of animated video learning media does not have a significant effect—with only a low level of positive improvement—on students’ birrul walidain character and polite behavior at SMPN 5 Cibitung.
