“Komunikasi Antarpribadi Terapis Kepada Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus Di Klinik
Tumbuh Kembang Anak Superkidz Bekasi” Dibawah bimbingan Winda Primasari,

Komunikasi antarpribadi merupakan interaksi antara dua individu atau lebih yang
berlangsung melalui berbagai tahap hubungan, dari keakraban hingga keterpisahan,
dan dapat berulang (Afrilia & Arifiana, 2020). Komunikasi terapeutik adalah proses
yang membangun hubungan antara konselor dan konseli untuk mengenali
kebutuhan serta merancang tindakan yang tepat (Budianto & Supriyanti, 2010).
Anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK), seperti autis, down syndrome, tunarungu, dan
lainnya, memerlukan pendekatan komunikasi khusus (Puteri & Santoso, 2023).
Klinik Tumbuh Kembang Anak Superkidz, yang berdiri sejak 2018 dan memiliki
13 cabang, merupakan pusat layanan bagi ABK yang menyediakan berbagai terapi
berkualitas tinggi, termasuk terapi dengan metode Applied Behavior Analysis
(ABA). Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu Bagaimana Strategi
Komunikasi Terapis kepada Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di Klinik Tumbuh
Kembang Anak Superkidz Bekasi?Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
strategi komunikasi terapis kepada ABK di Klinik Superkidz Bekasi. Penelitian
menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasilnya
menunjukkan bahwa Superkidz menerapkan komunikasi berbasis metode ABA,
yang mengedepankan penguatan positif serta teknik Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
dan Natural Environment Teaching (NET). Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk
meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi anak secara bertahap dan alami. Selain itu,
Superkidz menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan suportif agar anak merasa
nyaman dan percaya pada terapis. Mereka juga menyesuaikan metode konseling
berdasarkan kebutuhan individu anak, termasuk tingkat perkembangan dan
preferensi komunikasi. Pendekatan ABA secara keseluruhan digunakan untuk
mengurangi perilaku yang tidak sesuai dan mengajarkan keterampilan baru secara
terstruktur.

“Interpersonal Communication of Therapists to Children with Special Needs at the
Superkidz Bekasi Child Development Clinic” Under the guidance of Winda Primasari,
S.Hum, M.Si has the number of roman pages (xiii), pages (34), number of tables (1),

Interpersonal communication is an interaction between two or more individuals that takes
place through various stages of the relationship, from intimacy to separation, and can be
repeated (Afrilia & Arifiana, 2020). Therapeutic communication is a process that builds a
relationship between counselors and clients to recognize needs and design appropriate
actions (Budianto & Supriyanti, 2010). Children with special needs (ABK), such as autism,
down syndrome, deaf, and others, require a special communication approach (Puteri &
Santoso, 2023). Superkidz Child Development Clinic, which was established in 2018 and
has 13 branches, is a service center for children with special needs that provides various
high-quality therapies, including therapy with the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
method. The formulation of the problem in this study is: What is the Communication
Strategy of Therapists for Children with Special Needs (ABK) at the Superkidz Child
Development Clinic in Bekasi? This study aims to determine the communication strategy
of therapists for ABK at the Superkidz Clinic in Bekasi. The study used a qualitative method
with a descriptive approach. The results show that Superkidz applies ABA-based
communication, which prioritizes positive reinforcement and the Discrete Trial Training
(DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET) techniques. This approach aims to
improve children's communication skills gradually and naturally. In addition, Superkidz
creates a safe and supportive environment so that children feel comfortable and trust the
therapist. They also adjust the counseling method based on the child's individual needs,
including developmental level and communication preferences. The ABA approach as a
whole is used to reduce inappropriate behavior and teach new skills in a structured
manner.
