Abstract
This study examines the communication patterns of The Jakmania group in the Tanah Tinggi area, Central Jakarta in building member loyalty. As a solid community, the dynamics of internal communication still leave challenges, such as miscommunication between administrators and members. This study aims to (1) Determine the use of the communication network of The Jakmania Tanah Tinggi group, (2) Determine group communication in building loyalty of The Jakmania Tanah Tinggi, (3) Determine group communication in building cohesiveness of The Jakmania Tanah Tinggi. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used in this study is group communication patterns. The results of the study show that The Jakmania Tanah Tinggi applies (1) a star pattern communication network, where administrators become the center of information that is directly connected to members, and a chain pattern that runs in stages from the central administrator to the regional coordinators to the members. (2) The combination of these two patterns has an important role in conveying information and maintaining member involvement. (3) Group cohesiveness, as a force that binds members, grows through intense communication, routine activities, and emotional involvement between members.
