Abstract

Engagement can be interpreted as a situation that is positive in the mind, satisfying and related to work, accompanied by signs of enthusiasm, dedication and full of appreciation. This research aims to determine the effect of job demand and job resources on work engagement.
Quantitative research with correlational design. The total sample was 30 employees at XYZ Coffee Shop Bekasi City. The data collection method uses interviews and a psychological scale that uses a Likert scale model. Test the reliability of the instrument using the Alpha Crobach formula. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression.
The results of the multiple linear test obtained an F value of 20.347 with a Sig value. p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) These results indicate that there is a significant influence between job demands and job resources on work engagement, so Ha3 is accepted. It is hoped that suggestions for employees can increase their sense of enjoyment at work. Because, enjoying work can increase absorption and increase work engagement.
