Abstract
Aidil Adelia Nasution, "The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence and
Social Sensitivity and Responsibility of Eleventh-Grade Students in Islamic
Religious Education at Karya Bangsa Vocational School," Islamic Religious
Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University
of Indonesia - Bekasi, 2026M/1448H.
This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional
intelligence and social sensitivity and responsibility of eleventh-grade students in
Islamic Religious Education learning at Karya Bangsa Vocational School. This
study employed a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The subjects
included all eleventh-grade students at Karya Bangsa Vocational School, using a
random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire, and data
were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test.
The findings indicate a significant relationship between emotional
intelligence and social sensitivity. The analysis shows a significant relationship
between emotional intelligence and students' social sensitivity, as indicated by a
value of 0.669 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, thus categorized as high.
Furthermore, there was a significant correlation between emotional intelligence
and student responsibility, with a value of 0.720 and a significance level of 0.000 <
0.05, which is also considered high. Therefore, it can be concluded that the higher
a student's emotional intelligence, the higher their social sensitivity and
responsibility in Islamic Religious Education learning activities.
