Abstract
General elections are a core pillar of the democratic system, and voter
participation, especially among university students, plays a crucial role in
determining the direction of a country's democracy. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the relationship between personal values and youth voter participation among students at Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi. The subjects in this study totaled 100 respondents. The results of the correlation analysis show that the Personal Value variable (Pearson Correlation) yielded a Correlation Coefficient of 0.397 > rtable 0.165, which falls into the moderate category with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. In conclusion, this means that H01 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted. This indicates that there is a significant relationship (correlation) between the variables.Similarly, the Political Efficacy variable (Pearson Correlation) yielded a Correlation Coefficient of 0.397 > Rtable 0.165 (also in the moderate category) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Multiple linear regression and the F-test proved that both variables individually have a positive and significant effect on participation. Simultaneously, Personal Value and Political Efficacy together are able to explain 4.7% of the variance in Participation (R2 =0.0477); F(44.304; p < 0.05 at 0.000).
