Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for Visually Impaired Students at SLB Negeri
Bekasi Jaya. Study Program of Islamic Religious Education, Faculty of Islamic
Studies, Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi, 1447H/2025M. (74 pages)
This study aims to analyze the learning methods employed in the instructional
process for visually impaired students at SLB Negeri Bekasi Jaya. It further examines
the determining factors in selecting effective methods, enabling teachers to adjust
their teaching approaches to foster students active engagement as well as creative and
critical thinking. The study also analyzes the implementation of the chosen methods
and evaluates their outcomes, particularly in terms of how effectively they encourage
students to participate actively in learning and to connect new knowledge with prior
experiences or existing understanding, thereby making the material more relevant to
the learners. A qualitative research approach was applied, with data collected through
observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the PAI
(Islamic Education) teachers in this school employ a combination and inspirational
method. Specifically, the integration of drill, lecture, question–answer, and discussion
methods, complemented by the insertion of inspirational experiences during the
teaching process, proved effective in encouraging active student participation in
learning and in fostering students‟ self-confidence to share experiences and pose
questions relevant to real-world contexts.
