Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of mothers as the first madrasah in educating
children's morals. Mothers have a very important role in shaping children's
character and helping them grow into good and responsible individuals. This
research uses qualitative methods with interview and observation techniques to
obtain data from mothers with children.
The research results show that mothers have a very important role in educating
children's morals, such as providing a good example, teaching moral and ethical
values, and developing social and emotional skills. Mothers also face challenges in
educating children's morals, such as environmental influences and generational
differences.
Thus, this research emphasizes the importance of the role of mothers in educating
children's morals and provides recommendations for increasing mothers'
effectiveness in educating children's morals. It is hoped that this research can
contribute to the development of children's moral education and increase awareness
of the importance of the mother's role in shaping children's character.
