Abstract
Title: Representation of Exorcism of Spirits in the Spiritual Realm in the Films The Crucifixion 2017 and Hidayah 2023
This study analyses the representation of exorcism of spirits in the spiritual realm in the films The Crucifixion 2017 and Hidayah 2023. In these films, the representation of the exorcism process is related to issues of belief and myths. The purpose of this research is to provide an example of the analysis of the representation of exorcism of spirits in the spiritual realm in the films The Crucifixion 2017 and Hidayah 2023. The approach used is Stuart Hall's theory of representation. Through the method of representation analysis, data taken from the research objects include images, words, phrases, and clauses. The results of this study indicate that the films The Crucifixion 2017 and Hidayah 2023 construct meanings of myths and the process of exorcism of spirits in the spiritual realm.
