Abstract

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to find out and describe how planning, procuring, managing and using facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of education at SMP Insan Muttaqien Islamic School.
This study uses a qualitative method, namely research that aims to describe the phenomenon and context in the management of facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of education at SMP Insan Muttaqien Islamic School. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. The key informant was the Principal of SMP Insan Muttaqien Islamic School, then added other informants who had something to do with the problems raised.
The results of this study indicate that; 1) Planning begins with an analysis of the needs of what facilities and infrastructure will be held. The needs analysis was carried out through a school development team meeting which was then submitted to the committee chairman and then to the foundation. 2) Procurement of facilities and infrastructure is madrasah autonomy with a separate budget originating from BOS funds and committees. The process of procuring facilities and infrastructure is determined by the school principal in coordination with the treasurer, then the teacher provides whatever items are needed. The procurement process is mostly done by purchasing. 3) Arrangement of educational facilities and infrastructure at SMP Insan Muttaqien Islamic School through proper inventory, storage and maintenance.
