Abstract

Campus teaching students are agents of change in every school, placed as assistants in
schools teaching literacy, numeracy, and technology skills. As one of the most important
components that influence the effectiveness of communication, the credibility of students
as communicators is crucial. The purpose of this study is to determine how prepared
students are as educators in the campus teaching program at schools. The research
method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. This research uses data collection
techniques through observation and interviews with key informants and informants. The
theory used in this study is the communicator credibility strategy with the source
communication theory. The results of this study indicate that the communicator
credibility strategy is with the Source of Trust and Attractive Resources. The Physical
Attraction of Students regarding the Campus Teaching Program can be seen from the
professional dress style, the use of student voice tones when teaching, and body
language or confident body posture of a student. The Psychological Attraction of
Students in the Campus Teaching Program can be seen from how students have
Similarity, Familiarity, and Liking for students and the school environment. The
Primary Trust of Campus Teaching Students can be seen from Academic Reputation,
Performance consisting of (Peer, Field Supervisor, and Teacher), and the Secondary
Trust of Campus Teaching Students can be seen from Accountability Reporting
consisting of (Daily Reports and Weekly Reports of Students), Pre-Commitment of
Campus Teaching Students (Preparation, Coordination with the school, School
Observation).
