Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the independent curriculum P5 program to form the value
of nationalism of students of MAN 1 Bekasi Regency. (2) the supporting and inhibiting
factors of the independent curriculum P5 program towards forming the nationalism values of
MAN 1 Bekasi Regency students.
This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was carried out using field
observations, interviews, and literature studies. With data analysis techniques in the form of
data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of the study show that: (1) this research was carried out at MAN 1 School in Bekasi
Regency, in implementing the effectiveness of strengthening Pancasila values and forming the
character of nationalism of students in the P5 program of the independent curriculum, this
program The Project Program for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5) is a learning
system which aims to observe and find solutions to problems around using five main aspects,
namely self-potential, self-empowerment, self-improvement, self-understanding, and social
role. (2) In carrying out the Bekasian program in an effort to shape the nationalism values of
Bekasi MAN 1 students, this program is planned systematically, and in accordance with the
interrelationships between nationalism values and historical values in Bekasi. So that students
know historical values and the struggle for national heroes and national heritage with the hope
that the values of nationalism will be formed for MAN 1 Bekasi students.
