Abstract

FORKIS youth is an organization that was established on 2 November 2015,
then after it was inaugurated FORKIS youth began to form activities both social
activities and religious activities, among their social activities were natural disaster
social action, blood donation social action, mass circumcision, then religious
activities such as birthday commemorations Islamic Major, Muharram, Mawlid
Nabi, Isra Miraj, and regular recitations every Friday night. The purpose of this
study is to find out how the internal communication of the Youth Organization of
the Islamic Communication Forum (FORKIS) in Kotabaru, West Bekasi, can
strengthen friendships. The theory used is the theory of organizational
communication flow according to Face and Faules. This study used descriptive
qualitative method. The results of the study show that the flow of internal
organizational communication in FORKIS adolescents occurs vertically
(downward, upward), horizontally. The most dominant internal communication for
the FORKIS youth organization that occurred in the coordination process for
organizing events was organizational communication both vertically downwards
and vertically upwards and one informant could be seen as more than one form of
organizational communication. The communication media used internally by the
FORKIS youth organization mostly communicate using the WhatsApp group social
media. Strengthen friendship, FORKIS youth strengthen friendship in three ways:
the first is to communicate intensely among fellow members, both direct and
indirect communication, secondly by holding gatherings or outings held once a
year to unite or strengthen closeness among fellow members , thirdly by attending
events that have been programmed by FORKIS youth, both social events and
religious events.
