Abstract

The implementation of community services at the village office requires fast and good service, which
increasingly demands a major change in terms of the management of village government public services,
which have been served by village officials and staff who have limited ability and competence in providing
public services for the community. In this case, efforts are needed to improve public services in villages
in Bekasi Regency to make a policy to change the status of a village to a sub-district. The purpose of this
study is to identify and analyze efforts to improve public services by the Bekasi Regency Government with
a policy of changing the status of a village to a sub-district in Bekasi Regency. While the scope of this
research is to formulate a research approach method, collect data related to the performance of public
services in the village and public services in the Bekasi Regency Government, as well as analyze the data
obtained to obtain an assessment and related efforts to improve public services with the policy of changing
the status of the village to the village. in Bekasi Regency. The perspective of the community in the urban
village area in Bekasi Regency so far has shown a positive trend that assesses that governance at the chief
of urban village has been carried out well which proves that with the increasingly dynamic community
with heterogeneous character and urban environment, the performance of bureaucratic services by urban
