Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of video media on student
learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMAN 6 Tambun Selatan from
September to October 2021. The research method used is a quasi-experimental
method. Sampling is carried out by purposive sampling technique. The first sample
was 32 students for an experimental class using audio-visual media. The second
sample was 32 students for the control class with the lecture method using
Microsoft Office Power Point. The N-Gain value obtained in the experimental class
was a high value of 0.74 (74%), while the N-Gain value obtained by the control
class was a medium value of 0.53 (53%). T-test analysis was performed on the data
of both classes and the Results of the sig value. (2-tailed) the experimental class
and the control class are both 0.00 (<0.05), so Ho diitolak and Ha are accepted.
However, the average difference for the experimental class was 30.31 and in the
control class at 25.03. This shows that the use of audiovisual media in distance
learning has an effective effect on student learning outcomes in geography subjects
