Abstract

Women now have a lot of roles that can be done. Being a worker and also a mother makes women have to face multiple roles. Women who were previously considered only able to play a role in the household in the domestic sector, now many women are also contributing to meeting the increasingly high economic needs. Parenting which is a big responsibility of a woman in the household also makes the role of women difficult because they have to divide their time to work. Communication with the child, which is the main basis for parenting, is also hampered because women also have to fulfill their role in the office. Female workers at PT. Rucita Indah Sejahtera proves that communication in caring for the child continues to run smoothly and forms a communication pattern. This pattern is formed from the mother's habit of communicating with her child. Family communication patterns proposed by Fitzpatrick and Koerner, namely consensual communication patterns, pluralistic communication patterns, protective communication patterns and laissez-faire communication patterns become the basis for communication patterns formed in parenting.
