Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine and analyze the inventory of raw materials, determine the optimal
amount of inventory, and determine the cost efficiency of raw material inventory used by
researchers at company PT Chiyoda Industry Indonesia. Theresults of the research used are the
number of purchases of raw materials according to the company with the JIT method of 35.915
pcs. The EOQ method of purchasting raw materials in one order 50.890 pcs. The frequenoy of
purchases made by the company’s JIT method is 12 times while the EOQ method is once a year.
The cost of ordering according to the company’s JIT method policy is Rp2.635.350,00 while the
EOQ method is Rp7.320.00,00. There is No. storage cost in the company’s JITmentod while the
EOQ method is Rp70.215.692,00 the total cost of inventory for the company’s JIT method is not
avatlable, while the EOQ method is Rp77.536.692,00 the total cost for the company’s JIT
method is Rp2.635.350,00 while the EOQ method is Rp155.073.384,00 and with an overall
average of Rp51.691.128,00
