Abstract
Marriage is one of the sacred forms of bond in human life. In Islam, marriage is not only understood as a relationship between a man and a woman, but also as an act of worship aimed at building a peaceful, harmonious family filled with love and affection. In its implementation, husband and wife become important factors in maintaining the household. The development of the times and the demands of modern life have caused household dynamics to become increasingly diverse. Factors such as employment, education, and economic conditions often require married couples to live separately for a certain period of time. This condition is known as Long Distance Marriage, namely a marital relationship in which the spouses live in distant locations. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative to understand the data based on facts found in the field. The results show that the fulfillment of physical sustenance among married couples undergoing Long Distance Marriage in Sumberjaya Village has been well implemented. All informants strive to meet family needs according to their economic abilities, while the fulfillment of emotional and sexual needs is carried out in different ways, influenced by the type of work, work placement location, and household conditions. From the perspective of Maqāṣid al-Syarī‘ah, these efforts reflect family welfare, particularly in preserving wealth (hifẓ al-māl), life (hifẓ al-nafs), and lineage (hifẓ al-nasl), as well as maintaining communication and household harmony while living apart.
