EVALUATION OF THE LITERACY AND NUMERACY STRENGTHENING
PROGRAM AT SD NEGERI KAYURINGIN JAYA 1 BEKASI SELATAN

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the literacy and numeracy
strengthening program at SD Negeri Kayuringin Jaya 1 in South Bekasi. The
research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through
observation, interviews, and document studies. The study focuses on four evaluation
aspects: Context, Input, Process, and Product. The evaluation is conducted to
assess the extent to which this program contributes to improving students' literacy
and numeracy skills, as well as enhancing the school’s performance and quality.
The subjects of the research are teachers and the school principal. The findings
indicate that the implementation of the literacy and numeracy strengthening
program has not yet significantly contributed to students' abilities or the school’s
achievements. Several hindering factors were identified, including limited facilities,
educator availability, and the suboptimal involvement of parents. Therefore,
recommendations are necessary to strengthen the development of supporting
activities, such as active extracurricular agendas, to ensure that the program's
goals are comprehensively achieved according to the predetermined success
indicators.
