Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang perubahan penggunaan ruang terbuka hijau di
Alun-Alun Kota Bogor yang berkaitan dengan berbagai wacana sosial, budaya, dan
politik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode archiving, pengumpulan data diperoleh
dari observasi, wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat, dan sumber-sumber lain dari
media Instagram, dan YouTube. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengeksplorasi historisitas lokasi, serta memperlihatkan perbedaan antara konsep dan
realitas penggunaan ruang terbuka tersebut. Dengan menganalisis aspek-aspek sosial,
politik, dan ekonomi yang terbentuk di dalamnya, penelitian ini ingin menunjukkan
bahwa Alun-Alun Kota Bogor berfungsi sebagai ruang praktik spasial, representasi
ruang, dan ruang representasional. Penelitian ini juga mencakup analisis mengenai
tantangan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat terkait dengan perubahan fungsi kawasan
tersebut dan bagaimana kebijakan pemerintah berdampak pada kehidupan sosial
masyarakat lokal.

This research explains changes in the use of green open space in Bogor City Square
which are related to various social, cultural and political discourses. This research
uses an archiving method, data collection is obtained from observations, interviews
with local people, and other sources from Instagram and YouTube media. The main
aim of this research is to explore the historicity of the location, as well as show the
difference between the concept and reality of the use of open space. By analyzing the
social, political and economic aspects that are formed therein, this research wants to
show that the Bogor City Square functions as a space for spatial practice, spatial
representation and representational space. This research also includes an analysis of
the challenges faced by the community related to changes in the function of the area
and how government policies impact the social life of local communities.
