Abstract
The level of teacher work engagement is one of the key indicators in creating a quality learning process. Teachers with high work engagement tend to demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication, and full involvement in carrying out their duties. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of grit and workplace spirituality on teachers’ work engagement. This research employed a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 69 teachers. The instruments in this study were the (UWES-9), with a validity score of 0.94 and reliability of 0.923; the (GRIT-S) with a validity score ranging from 0.88 to 0.94 and reliability of 0.761; and the Workplace Spirituality Scale with a validity score of 0.897 and reliability of 0.94. This study obtained regression results between workplace spirituality and work engagement with a value (β = 0.458; p < 0.000) and grit on work engagement had no effect. These results indicate an influence between workplace spirituality and teacher work engagement.
