Abstract

is study aims to analyze traffic accident-prone areas (blackspots) along Harapan Indah Road, located in Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency, using the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) method. Data were collected from accident reports between 2023 and 2024, as well as field observations. The results show an increasing trend in both accident frequency and EAN values over the years. The most hazardous location was found along Harapan Indah Boulevard, particularly near the gas station (SPBU) and Transera Waterpark. Most accidents involved motorcycles, with the primary cause being driver negligence. The study recommends improving road safety facilities such as traffic signs, street lighting, and public traffic education.
