Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and suicide ideation, the relationship between social support and suicide ideation, and the influence between emotional regulation and social support on suicide ideation in broken home adolescents in Bekasi City. The subjects in this study numbered 193 with 62 men and 131 women. This study used convenience sampling techniques, which are based on respondents' willingness. The data collection method in this study used interviews and psychological measurement scales. The instruments in this study used a suicide ideation scale with a reliability value of 0.98, an emotion regulation scale with a reliability of 0.786, and a social support scale with a reliability of 0.913. Data analysis techniques use descriptive tests, Spearman's Rank correlation tests, and multiple linear regression tests. This study found that there was no relationship between emotion regulation and suicide ideation, there was a negative relationship between social support and suicide ideation with an r value of 0.223, and there was an influence between emotion regulation and social support on suicide ideation with an R square value of 0.102 or 10.2%.
