INTERNAL SUPERVISION MANAGEMENT OF THE ADIWIYATA PROGRAM TO IMPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CARE AT ISLAMIC GREEN SCHOOL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN BEKASI CITY

This study aims to describe the internal supervision management of the Adiwiyata Program at Islamic Green School Junior High School in Bekasi City and its impact on students' environmental awareness. The background of the study is based on the low awareness of the school community regarding maintaining cleanliness.
The research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. This approach aims to understand the phenomenon in depth through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of narrative data in a natural context without variable manipulation. The goal is to describe the actual conditions in the field and the meanings attached by six informants and a documentary study to the phenomenon under study.
The results indicate that supervision planning has been implemented through the formation of an Adiwiyata team based on a Principal's Decree and the development of a participatory work program. However, the supervision instruments remain general. Supervision implementation involves multiple parties through inspection and monitoring methods, and involves students through the Student Council (OSIS). Evaluation is conducted in stages through guidance and education.
Obstacles encountered include a culture of environmental awareness, limited human resources, and limited infrastructure. The impact of supervision is evident in gradual changes in student behavior, the formation of an environmentally conscious school culture, the development of economic values through the AGAM program, and the sustainability of the program supported by a four-year plan and the integration of Islamic values.
The study concluded that the internal supervisory management of the Adiwiyata Program has made a positive contribution to sustainably developing students' environmental stewardship.
