Abstract
This study aims to examine and analyze the relationship between personality competence and quality of work life with teacher creativity among public elementary school teachers in Bekasi Selatan District, Bekasi City. Teacher creativity is an essential factor in improving the quality of learning, particularly at the elementary school level, where teachers are expected to design engaging, innovative, and meaningful learning experiences. In this context, personality competence and quality of work life are considered important factors that may support teachers in developing creative teaching practices.
This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational survey method. The population consisted of 300 public elementary school teachers, while the sample included 171 teachers selected using the Slovin formula and probability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite analysis tests, correlation analysis, simple regression, and multiple regression.
The findings indicate that personality competence has a positive and significant relationship with teacher creativity, with a correlation coefficient of 0.425 and a contribution of 18.1%. Quality of work life also has a positive and significant relationship with teacher creativity, with a correlation coefficient of 0.428 and a contribution of 18.3%. Simultaneously, personality competence and quality of work life have a positive and significant relationship with teacher creativity, as indicated by an F-value of 46.508 and a coefficient of determination of 35.6%. The regression equation obtained is Y = 18.168 + 0.484X₁ + 0.472X₂. These findings suggest that improving teachers’ personality competence and quality of work life may contribute to the enhancement of teacher creativity in the learning process.
