Abstract
This study aims to determine: (1) whether there is a relationship between perseverance and student religiosity, (2) whether there is a relationship between curiosity and student religiosity, and (3) whether there is a relationship between perseverance and curiosity together with the religiosity of senior high school students in West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency.
The method used is a quantitative approach with a correlational method with a total of 331 respondents from senior high school students in West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, determined through proportional random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 27. The results of the study show that: (1) there is a significant positive relationship between perseverance and student religiosity, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.665 with a significance value of 0.000, and a regression equation of Ŷ = 81.116 + 0.639 X1 (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05) with a contribution of 44.2%. (2) there is a significant positive relationship between curiosity and student religiosity, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.584 with a significance value of 0.000, and a regression equation of Ŷ = 104.344 + 0.522 X2 (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05) with a contribution of 34.1%. (3) there is a relationship between perseverance and curiosity together with student religiosity, with a simultaneous correlation coefficient value of 0.613, a calculated F value of 159.074 > Ftable 3.023, a significance value of 0.000, a regression equation of Ŷ = 66.011 + 0.472 X1 + 0.253 X2 and a simultaneous contribution of 49.2%. Based on these results, this study is expected to be input for schools, teachers, and parents in designing student character development programs that are integrated with strengthening perseverance and developing curiosity towards student religiosity, in order to create students who are diligent, have a high sense of curiosity, and have a religious character.
