Abstract
Raudhatun Nissa Rusaranha 41182911220039 “THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAMIC CULTURAL HISTORY AND STUDENT RESILIENCE AND LEARNING MOTIVATION” Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University of Indonesia (UNISMA Bekasi) 2026 M/1447 H.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between knowledge of Islamic cultural history and the perseverance and learning motivation of students at SMPIT Baitul Ilmi. This study employs a quantitative approach focused on correlation. Tests, questionnaires, and documentation were used as data collection methods. Eighth-grade students were the subjects of the study. Simple random sampling was used to select a sample of 54 students. Spearman’s correlation and the coefficient of determination were used as data analysis techniques.
The findings indicate that there is a positive correlation between students’ knowledge of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) and their perseverance and learning motivation. This is evidenced by the Spearman correlation coefficients: 0.244 for the relationship between SKI knowledge and perseverance, and 0.220 for the relationship between SKI knowledge and learning motivation. Both coefficients are low. Knowledge of Islamic Cultural History contributes 5.9% to the variation in perseverance, while it contributes 4.8% to the variation in learning motivation; the remainder is influenced by other factors. It can therefore be concluded that knowledge of Islamic Cultural History has a positive, albeit weak, relationship with students’ perseverance and learning motivation at SMPIT Baitul Ilmi.
