Abstract

Adolescents from broken home families are vulnerable to psychological
problems that may affect their ability to cope with life stress. This study examined the mediating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between social support and resilience among adolescents from broken home families.
This quantitative correlational study involved 291 adolescents selected
through simple random sampling. Data were collected using The RQ, the GSES,
and a Social Support Scale, and analyzed using Pearson correlation, regression,
and mediation analyses.
The results showed positive and significant relationships among social
support, self-efficacy, and resilience. Self-efficacy partially mediated the
relationship between social support and resilience, with an indirect effect of 0.4415 and a bootstrap confidence interval excluding zero.
