Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of in-depth examining the relationship
between the intensity of digital technology use and the religious ethics of students at
SMAN 1 Tambun Selatan. The research background is based on the reality of the
increasingly rapid development of digital technology, which has direct implications for
students' behavior and social interaction patterns, particularly in the development of
religious ethics.
This study used a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation,
interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the intensity of digital
technology use significantly influences the development of students' religious ethics.
The targeted use of digital technology can positively contribute to improving the
understanding of religious values, such as discipline in worship, politeness, and
responsibility.
However, this study also identified challenges in the form of negative impacts of
social media, low awareness among some students in internalizing religious teachings,
and limited time allocated for Islamic Religious Education learning. Thus, synergistic
collaboration between schools, educators, parents, and the community is needed to
guide the use of digital technology to align with the goals of Islamic religious
education.
