Abstract

Road damage causes disruption to the smooth flow of traffic. Narogong Highway
which is located in Bantar Gebang sub-district, Bekasi City, West Java is one of the
arterial roads and belongs to the class I road. The road has various types of damage
starting from cracks, potholes, and corrugation, one of which is caused by the load
heavy vehicles that pass continuously. The purpose of this study was to assess and
analyze the damage condition of the Narogong Highway using the Bina Marga
method and the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method, then map the types of
road damage based on GIS. From the results of the study obtained 9 types of
damage and resulted in a priority order of 5.5 with the Bina Marga method, while
the PCI method obtained 11 types of damage and had a condition value of 48.5
(medium). To handling the damage, periodic maintenance is necessary.
