Abstract

This research aims to analyze the extracurricular management of karate at SMK Nurul
Hikmah 2 Bekasi City. The focus of this research is to understand how planning,
organizing, actuating and controlling karate extracurricular activities is carried out.
The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data
was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and analysis of related
documents. The results of the research show that extracurricular karate management
at SMK Nurul Hikmah 2 Bekasi City has been implemented systematically through
planning which includes scheduling activities and providing professional trainers. The
implementation of activities was effective thanks to good coordination between the
school, trainers and students. Evaluations are carried out periodically to identify
obstacles and formulate improvements. This extracurricular karate activity not only
improves students' physical skills but also contributes to the formation of character,
discipline and a sense of responsibility. This research concludes that good
management of karate extracurricular activities has an important role in the holistic
development of students. Even so, extracurricular karate activities at SMK Nurul
Hikmah 2 Bekasi City still have shortcomings that must continue to be improved.
