Abstract

ABSTRACT
Marital satisfaction from the perspective of women plays an important role in the
formation of a harmonious family. Interpersonal communication and emotional maturity
are factors that can influence this. This study aims to determine the influence of
interpersonal communication and emotional maturity on marital satisfaction among early
adult women. The subjects of this research were early adult women aged 18–30 years who
were married for no more than 10 years and lived in South Cikarang District. The
population size in this study is unknown due to the lack of concrete and valid data. This
study used non-probability sampling with a snowball technique. Based on calculations
using the Lameshow formula, the sample consisted of 385 respondents. The research
instruments showed high reliability: the interpersonal communication scale (α = 0.994),
the emotional maturity scale (α = 0.996), and the marital satisfaction scale (α = 0.998).
The results showed that interpersonal communication and emotional maturity have a
significant influence on marital satisfaction (F = 14.854, p < 0.000).

ABSTRAK
Kepuasan pernikahan dalam sudut pandang perempuan menjadi salah satu
terjalinnya keluarga yang harmonis. Komunikasi interpersonal dan kematangan emosional
menjadi faktor yang mampu memengaruhi hal ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dan kematangan emosional terhadap
kepuasan pernikahan perempuan dewasa awal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah perempuan
dewasa awal usia 18-30 tahun yang sudah menikah dengan usia pernikahan tidak lebih dari
10 tahun di Kecamatan Cikarang Selatan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini tidak diketahui
jumlahnya, karena tidak ada data konkrit dan valid. Penelitian ini menggunakan
nonprobability sampling dengan teknik snowball. Dan berdasarkan hasil penghitungan
dengan rumus lameshow, didapat sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 385 responden.
