Abstract

Dating violence in adolescents is misunderstood and difficult to recognize the signs. Self-concept and assertive behavior are factors that influence this. This study aims to determine the effect of self-concept and assertive behavior on dating
violence. The research subjects were 100 students in grades X and XI of SMK YADIKA 13. The method used was quantitative correlation, data collection by quota sampling and data collection through questionnaires. The research instruments have high reliability: dating violence scale (α = 0.936), self-concept scale (α = 0.931), and assertive behavior scale (α = 0.931). Data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The results showed that self-concept and assertive behavior had a significant effect on dating violence (F = 16.166, p < 0.000).
