Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of corporate governance, proxied by the audit committee and independent commissioner board, ownership structure, proxied by managerial ownership and institutional ownership, and debt maturity on investment efficiency.
This research is a quantitative study using secondary data. Measurements were taken for the audit committee, independent commissioner board, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and debt maturity. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 63 research data from 21 energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021-2023 period. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression, employing E-views 12.0 as the analytical tool.
The results of this study show that the audit committee has no significant influence on investment efficiency, the independent commissioner board has no significant influence on investment efficiency, managerial ownership has a significant negative influence on investment efficiency, institutional ownership has a significant negative influence on investment efficiency, and debt maturity has no significant influence on investment efficiency. For future researchers, it is suggested to expand the sector and add the research period, as well as to include additional test variables or examine other variables such as foreign ownership and the quality of financial reports.
