Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep
Matematika siswa kelas III Siswa SDN Cakung Timur 02 Pagi . Adapun
permasalahannya yaitu siswa belum dapat menjelaskan secara tepat pengertian dari
perkalian , siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyebutkan contoh konsep perkalian
yang benar , siswa belum mampu menyajikan bentuk matematika kebentuk lainnya
selain itu siswa sulit untuk menentukan langkah yang tepat untuk menyelesaikan
perkalian dan siswa tidak dapat menggunakan konsep ke dalam pemecahan masalah
. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka diterapkannya model pembelajaran
Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan
pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas III SDN Cakung Timur 02 Pagi.
Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK)
yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dengan subjek berjumlah 25 siswa dan pada setiap
siklusnya terdiri 3 pertemuan. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan
teknik pengumpulan data tes tertulis . Adapun kriteria keberhasilan dalam
penelitian ini adalah 80% dengan nilai KKM yaitu 75.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep
siswa disetiap siklusnya yaitu pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 57% dengan
nilai rata-rata 67 dan pada siklus II ketuntasan klasikal meningkat mencapai 87%
dengan nilai rata-rata 83 . Berdasarkan data tersebut model pembelajaran dapat
meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika kelas III sebesar 30%. Dengan
demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and
Learning (CTL), dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika kelas III
SDN Cakung Timur 02 Pagi.
This research is motivated by the low understanding of the concept of
Mathematics of grade III students of SDN Cakung Timur 02 Pagi. The problem is
that students have not been able to explain the meaning of multiplication correctly,
students have difficulty in mentioning examples of correct multiplication concepts,
students have not been able to present mathematical forms into other forms.
students find it difficult to determine the right steps to solve multiplication. students
cannot use concepts in problem solving. In overcoming these problems, the
Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model is applied. which aims to
improve the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade III students of SDN
Cakung Timur 02 Pagi.
The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting
of 2 cycles, with 25 students as subjects and each cycle consisting of 3 meetings.
Data collection in this study used written test data collection techniques. The
success criteria in this study are 80% with a KKM value of 75.
The results of this study indicate that the increase in students' conceptual
understanding in each cycle, namely in cycle I classical completeness was 57% with
an average value of 67 and in cycle II classical completeness increased to 87% with
an average value of 83. Based on these data, the learning model can increase the
understanding of mathematical concepts in grade III by 30%. Thus, it can be
concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model can
increase the understanding of mathematical concepts in grade III of SDN Cakung
Timur 02 Pagi.
