Abstract
The current pandemic conditions require educators, namely teachers, to innovate in changing face-to-face learning patterns into non-face-to-face learning patterns. Parents play a very important role in the success of online learning methods. This researchaims to determine theroleof parents'communication with childrenduring online school. The method used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation with data analysis consists of three activity streams simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research was conducted in the Cileungsi District environment. The results of this research include the roles of parents while children are carrying out online learning activities, the role of family communication between parents and children during online school, and the nature of parental communication messages.
