Abstract

The 4G LTE network is a telecommunications technology that plays an important role in meeting the needs of fast and stable communication. However, the quality of network services at Bekasi Station is often disrupted due to high user density. This study aims to optimize the performance of Telkomsel's 4G network at Bekasi Station using the physical tuning antenna method with a drive test simulation. The parameters analyzed include Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR), and Throughput. The methods used in this study include the collection of existing network data before optimization through drive tests, analysis of network parameters, implementation of optimization by adjusting mechanical tilting and re-azimuth of the antenna, and evaluation of optimization results with data comparison methods before and after optimization. The results showed that the average value of RSRP increased from -88.75 dBm to -67.25 dBm, the SINR increased from -2 dB to 27 dB, and the Throughput increased from 53.6 Mbps to 95.2 Mbps after optimization. The conclusion of this study shows that the physical tuning antenna method is effective in improving the quality of Telkomsel's 4G network at Bekasi Station. This optimization not only improves signal coverage, but also reduces interference and improves the user experience in accessing telecommunication services. It is hoped that this research can be a reference in the application of network optimization in locations with high user density.
