Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out what the Value Added and Non Value Added results are in
lean manufacturing with VSM. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive, with the data
used being primary and secondary data. The population in this research is the Bintang Crackers
Factory and the sample in this research is the rose crackers produced by the Bintang Crackers
Factory during 2023. The data collection technique used is interviews with the company owner
and observations at the Bintang Crackers Factory. The method used in this research is the Value
Stream Mapping method. The research results show that the value added value and non value
added value have improved significantly and are in accordance with company regulations, where
at the beginning before the improvement the value added value was 76.77% and non value added
value 23.23%, after the improvement the value increased so the value added value is 95.76% and
the non value added value is 4.24%.
