Abstract

This research aims to determine the supervision of the Village Consultative Body
(BPD) in the use of Village Funds in Ridogalih Village, Cibarusah District, Bekasi
Regency. The Village Consultative Body has a strategic role and position in
overseeing the use of Village Funds so that they are not misused. In carrying out the
supervisory function of the BPD, it is hoped that there will be no hesitation or fear
because the BPD has a strong legal umbrella in carrying out supervision over the
use of Village Funds. This type of qualitative research aims to determine BPD
supervision based on the problems discussed, namely problems that occur at the
research location. There were 5 informants in this study. Data collection was carried
out by interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis through data
reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions, while data validity uses
triangulation of sources, techniques and time. The research results show that the
Ridogalih Village BPD in carrying out its duties and functions has been carried out
in accordance with the BPD's capacity as a supervisor of Village government
performance which includes monitoring the use of Village Funds as well as
connecting the aspirations of the community. So the supervision of Village Funds
by the BPD can be seen from the indicators of direct supervision of direct infection,
on-site observations, on-site reports and indirect supervision, namely verbal reports
and written reports. The obstacles to the BPD in carrying out its supervisory
function are human resources which are still relatively low and poor communication
between the BPD and the Village Government, making BPD supervision less than
optimal. The efforts made to overcome obstacles to monitoring the use of Village
Funds are by providing understanding to BPD members so that they open and
learning together in order to have sufficient capacity as members of the BPD to
carry out their duties and functions and obligations as members of the BPD. This is
done so that the performance and functions of the BPD can be felt by the people of
Ridogalih village as well as better communication, so that there are no
misunderstandings. create obstacles in carrying out their respective duties
