Abstract

Continuous exploration of crude oil causes the depletion of crude oil
reserves. This problem needs the world to find a way to make a solution to make a
crude oil consumptions more efficient. One of the solution to make a vehicle more
efficient by increasing the engine performance and reduce exhaust gas emission.
One of the alternative technology that can reduce harmful gases on vehicle
exhaust gas by using Exhaust Gas Recirculation system. The latest research about
correlations between fuel to highest torque score that not using Exhaust Gas
Recirculation (EGR) systems with pertalite gas is 7.38 Nm on 6500 rpm.
Meanwhile, the Engine with using EGR systems the maximum torque is 7.8 Nm on
6500 rpm. The maximum power produce by engine without using EGR with
pertalite is 7.03 HP at 7000 rpm. If this calculation converted to kilowatt it score
5.09 kW. Meanwhile the maximum power produce by engine using EGR with
pertalite score 7.2 HP at 7000 rpm. If this calculation converted to kilowatt it
score 5.34 kW. These research show that engine with EGR produce high torque
score, increase maximum power, decreasing on exhaust gas emission
(CO,CO2,O2), HC get increased.
