Abstract

This researeh discusses about conceptual metaphor from choosen 3 character
voice overs in Genshin Impact. The aim of this research is to classify the type of
conceptual metaphor from character voice over and to describe the meaning from
the metaphorical expression. According to Lakoff and Johnson, conceptual
metaphor devided to 3 types: ontological metaphor, orientasional metaphor,
structural metaphor. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The
source of the data obtained from the choosen character voice overs: Wanderer,
Xiao, and Kaedehara Kazuha from Genshin Impact Game. The method used to
colleting the data is simak method. The obtained data will be analized with padan
method. The result of this research showed that 29 datas contain metaphorical
expression:11 ontological metaphors, 9 structural metaphors, and 9 orientational.
All the metaphorical expression has its different meaning.
