Abstract

The increase in the number of vehicles in particular is followed by the
increase in emissions of exhaust produced by motorbikes. This causes
increasingly worsening air conditions that can become detrimental to health. The
solution to reduce air pollution produced by motorbikes in particular uses an
Exhaust Gas Recirculation system (EGR).
The study towards the influence of the installation of the egr system was
done on a four-step, one-cylinder gasoline engine with 115 cc capacity. The test is
conducted to know how the use of the EGR system affects Torque, Power and the
capacity of exhaust agents such as CO, CO2, O2, and HC variations in the engine
rotation from 1500 RPM to 6000 RPM.
Research shows that the use of egr produces declining maximum torque,
plummeting power, CO emissions content, CO2, O2, and HC are both decreasing
and increasing.
