Abstract

The background of this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes in the multiplication materials in class II at SDN Wanasari 12. This research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of second grade students at SDN Wanasari 12 through the jarimatics method.
This research method uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which consists of 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 2 meetings. Each cycle carried out four activities, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was class II of SDN Wanasari 12, which consisted of 30 students. This data collection uses a collection technique in the form of written tests and observations. The criterion for success in this study is if 80% of the number of students achieves the set KKM score of 75.
Based on the research results obtained an increase in the percentage of classical success in each cycle. In the first cycle it was 56.67% with an average score of 69 and in the second cycle it was 83.33% with an average score of 87. Then the cycle was terminated because it had reached the target value of 80% classical success in mathematics at SDN Wanasari 12 through the finger method.
