Abstract
ANALYSIS OF RELIGIOUS VALUES IN PALANG PINTU TRADITION IN
SETU BABAKAN VILLAGE JAKARTA SELATAN

This study aims to find out: (1) An overview of the process of implementing
the Palang Pintu tradition in Betawi traditional marriages. (2) Knowing the religious values contained in the Palang Pintu Tradition in Kampung Setu Babakan, South Jakarta. (3) find out how to preserve the Palang Pintu Tradition in Kampung Setu Babakan, South Jakarta.
This research is a qualitative research using a phenomenological approach,
with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The
triangulation technique was used as data analysis. It aims to maximize the results
of interviews obtained from informants. The research informants consisted of key
informants (traditional leaders) and supporting informants (Cultivators,
Government, Businessmen and Youth).
The results of the study show that: (1) There are several sequences in the Palang Pintu Tradition procession (2) There are religious values contained in the Palang
Pintu Tradition procession (3) The efforts to preserve culture carried out by the
government and the community are very good.
