Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being and
social support and subjective well-being, as well as the effect of forgiving and social support on
subjective well-being. The subjects of this study were 470 broken home teenagers in Bekasi City.
This study used convenience sampling based on convenience and awareness of the subject. Data
collection methods in this study used interviews, questionnaires and psychological measurement
scales. The instrument in this study used a subjective welfare scale with a Cronbach's Alpha
reliability value of 0.904, a forgiveness scale with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.924
for a social support scale with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.913. The data analysis
technique uses the Rank Spearman correlation test and the Multiple Linear Regression test. This
study found that forgiveness with subjective well-being had a positive relationship of 0.631, and
social support for subjective well-being had a positive relationship of 0.813. Then there is an
influence between forgiveness and social support on subjective well-being with an R squared
value of 0.731 or 73.1%.
