Abstract
This study aims to analyze related to the Bekasi City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in dealing with floods in Bekasi City. The task of the Bekasi City BPBD in flood management in Bekasi City is to become the leading sector for the community when floods occur in the Bekasi City area. The aim of the research this is knowing the Efforts and Obstacles regarding the role of the Bekasi City BPBD in flood management in Bekasi City. The theory used in this study is to use Levy's theory (in Soekanto, 2009: 215-216) which states that there are 4 indicators, namely Structure, Ability, Desire, and Implementation. The method used in this research is to use qualitative methods using a descriptive approach. The results of this study The role of the Bekasi City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in flood management in Bekasi City has been carried out in a structured and good manner. However, there are several obstacles The problems experienced by the Bekasi City BPBD in dealing with floods in Bekasi City are the lack of facilities and infrastructure owned by the Bekasi City BPBD, and the minimal number of active field task forces at the Bekasi City BPBD when compared to the number of flood points in Bekasi City.
