Abstract

Lack of communication can have a negative impact on children's learning motivation. This shows that children who often communicate with their parents have a higher learning motivation than children who rarely communicate with their parents. The purpose of this study is to find out how long distance communication patterns between parents and children increase learning motivation. The theory used is the family scheme. The methodology in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that open communication and more intensity will affect student learning motivation. Based on the results of the study, there were visible differences in the academic achievement of students who had a large conversational orientation family type and a low conversational orientation family type. On average, the informants with a high and open conversation type have quite good academic achievements and their lectures run smoothly, in contrast to the conversation orientation type which is less and less open like some of the informants in this study, he felt that his academic achievement was standard and quite lagging behind those of the others. other. The next researcher's recommendation is to use a different theory, namely the Interpersonal Deception Theory.
