Abstract
This study aims to improve the emotional intelligence of students at SMKN 1
Tambun Selatan by getting into the habit of reading the Qur'an, and to determine
whether or not there is an influence of the habit of reading the Koran on the
emotional intelligence of students at SMKN 1 Tambun Selatan. The method used is
through a quantitative approach with SPSS version 23 software. Meanwhile, the data
collection method used is the documentation method and the questionnaire method.
The samples taken were 243 students.
The results of this study, the t-test obtained a tsig value of 0.000 which is smaller than
the significant level used, which is 0.05, then Ho is rejected, which means that there
is an influence of the habit of reading the Qur'an on increasing the emotional
intelligence of students at SMKN 1 Tambun Selatan. The recapitulation results from
the percentage results of the Y variable (Emotional intelligence) obtained an average
percentage value of 75%, which is quite good, while the recapitulation results from
the X variable percentage results (Al-Qur'an Reading Habits) with an average
percentage value of 72%. that is good enough.
