Abstract

Esports or Electronic sports is a technological development in the sports industry that is growing rapidly so that many new professions are present, one of which is the Shoutcaster, who is a host or commentator in Esports matches. Shoutcaster's communication is very attached to rhetoric. This study discusses the rhetoric of the
Shoutcaster in the UEAS Season 2 grand final Esports event, which will use Aristoteles rhetoric theory, namely Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. This research includes qualitative research using descriptive methods. The source of this research data is via YouTube Upoint esports. As a Shoutcaster, you have to master rhetoric, like the Shoutcaster who served in the UEAS Season 2 Grand Final and has
implemented ethos (credibility), pathos (emotions), and logos (logic). And the components of the rhetoric are related to each other so that a Shoutcaster cannot only master one of them because the audience or audience needs all three sides of the rhetoric to be sure of the credibility of the Shoutcaster, his logical arguments can be accepted by common sense and entertain the audience.
